Usher Ministry

Today, Ushers are the doorkeepers in the House of God. They attend and guard the doors at all times during mass.

A recognizable Usher is usually the person to whom parishioners direct their questions.

Ushers are needed at all Masses. If you would like to be an usher, please contact Maria Smith in the Parish Office at 760-922-3261.

Knights of Columbus

This is the local council of the national organization of Catholic men devoted to charitable services to the church and greater community. There is an application process that is required of any adult Catholic man wanting to be part of this fraternal organization.

For more information or to join the Knights, please leave a message for Derek Copple at the Parish Office (760) 922-3261.

Guadalupanas

The Guadalupanas are a Catholic organization that promote devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Virgin Mary.

The objective of The Guadalupanas is to promote among its members a deep knowledge and love for Jesus Christ and the perseverance of being faithful disciples who follow the example of their most devoted disciple, their Blessed Mother, under the title of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

The group conducts various fundraising events to fund the annual celebration in December. The Guadalupanas Ministry invites parishioners, both men and women, to join this ministry. To join or for more information, please contact the Parish Office at 760-922-3261.

Holy Rosary Devotion

The traditional rosary with short meditations is prayed during the week, Monday-Friday, at 5:00 PM in the Children’s Chapel.

Please join us as we are called to pray the rosary for peace in our country, peace in our world and for our own private intentions. We pray the rosary to show our devotion to our Lord, through His blessed mother, Mary. The rosary is our greatest weapon against the challenges and evils of today.

Please come to pray the rosary in a quiet atmosphere. All are welcome!

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) assist the priest at the celebration of the Eucharist (Mass) to distribute the Body and the Blood of Christ to the faithful. Certain requirements have to be met per directives of the Diocese of San Bernardino.

Requirements:

  • The persons invited to serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are to be mature (usually at least 18 years of age), fully initiated Catholics, who participate fully and regularly in the Sunday Celebration of the Eucharist.
  • EMHC strive to live Gospel values and to be Christ's presence in all areas of their lives.
  • Training is provided for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion.

The need for EMHC varies during the course of the year. With this in mind, please check with Vickie Rodriguez at (760) 910-3579 to express your interest in serving as an EMHC. Our parish deeply appreciates your desire to serve the Lord in this capacity.

Ministry to the Sick

Our infirmed and homebound parishioners can no longer come to the church and worship with us. We send Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to bring the Holy Eucharist to their homes so they might share in the healing power of the Bread of Life.

If you are homebound and would like to receive Holy Communion, please call the Parish Office at 760-922-3261.
